About

Hello, my name is VALERIA POVEDA

I’ve always been interested in the things people create, like art, music, stories, images, and eventually, the digital spaces where all those things come together.

That curiosity eventually led me to a bachelors in Computer Science and Software Development.

Along the way, I discovered that I really enjoy the process of taking an idea and figuring out what to do with it. Sometimes that means writing code. Sometimes it means designing an interface, building a website, editing something, organizing information, or figuring out a problem that doesn’t have an obvious answer.

I don’t think I fit neatly into one category, and I’m starting to see that as a strength rather than something I need to fix. I like learning new things, moving between different kinds of problems, and finding connections between things that don’t initially seem related.

So this portfolio is a collection of things I’ve built, explored, learned and become curious along the way.

Looking ahead

I want to keep building things, solving problems, learning from people around me, and finding work that gives me room to grow.

What matters more to me is the kind of work: something challenging enough to keep me learning, meaningful enough to care about, and open enough that I can bring my own perspective to it.

That could mean developing software, building for the web, working with data or systems, creating digital experiences, or finding some combination of things I haven’t discovered yet.

Off screen

Outside of school, work and the professional environment, I find inspiration in pretty ordinary things that I consider extraordinary. This mainly means art, music, movies, photography, traveling, discovering new places, and spending time with the people I care about.
